Where we are so far

The songs below are available on all the popular streaming sites. They can be found by searching for the title below by Michael Voors.

This merging of analog, digital, and live music is just getting bazaar. The four songs that have been distributed show four very different ways of making music with the definition of musicianship changing daily.

The songs below are performed by a human. The next level is not. Check out The Geriatric Bots. This is music I have written with my lyrics but performed by AI.

Preludes, Op. 28: No. 20 in C Minor

This is a simple piece by Chopin. I played it on a digital keyboard connected to my computer. It is recorded as played.

As Time Goes By

This was recorded by Rudy Valee in 1931 and used in the movie Casablanca. I used the keyboard as a midi. I played the song, went into the DAW and fixed errors. Then I changed the sound to a different piano. It is as played and digitally manipulated.

Silent Night

I played this on keyboard to make the base track. I then copied the whole track and changed it from piano to Dulcimer. That gave me two tracks playing the same notes. I lowered the volume of the piano so that it supports the dulcimer. I added an upright base for the third track. I then finished it by playing the fourth track as a cello. This is still just me playing but lots of digital manipulation.

What Child Is This

I played the Dulcimer on the first track, then added each of the other tracks, Bass, Cello, Violin, and Harpsicord. That gave me five tracks. This is the first song I've done without piano. Still me playing with even more digital manipulation.
